NVDA Screen Reader Concepts and Selected Commands

• On laptops the NVDA key is the Caps Lock key on desktops it is the Insert key.
• Use the Shift key moves to previous item.

Keyboard Command	Description
NVDA+Space	Toggle between focus mode and browse mode. Must be in browse mode for the following commands to work.
NVDA+Down Arrow	Start reading form cursor
NVDA+F7	List of Headings
NVDA+T	Read page title
B	Next button
D	Next landmark region
F	Next form control
G	Next graphic/image
H	Next heading
1-6	Next heading at the corresponding level
L	Next list
T	Next table

Feature Overview

• In browse mode you can move sequentially or by level through the headings on the page or view a list of links.
• When navigating the content of a web page NVDA announces heading information is announced.
